Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Flowistry ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. License

Flowistry is licensed, not sold. Upon purchase from the Mac App Store, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any Mac that you own or control, as permitted by the Mac App Store Terms of Service.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Flowistry for:

• Personal file organization and automation
• Business and commercial file processing
• Any lawful purpose consistent with these terms

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

5. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The workflows you create and their effects on your files
• Maintaining backups of important data
• Testing workflows before applying them to critical files
• The credentials and server addresses you configure for network features
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the App will be corrected

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL NORBERT GUTBROD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of data or files
• Loss of profits or business opportunities
• Damage to equipment or software
• Cost of procurement of substitute goods or services

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Updates

We may provide updates to the App from time to time. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or security patches. By using the App, you agree to receive such updates.

10. Termination

Your license to use the App terminates automatically if you fail to comply with these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete all copies.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
